Beijing’s Fourth Plenum of the Communist Party of China (CPC) of the Central Committee has been appraised as a consequential meeting that allows for grasping the forthcoming power dynamics and policy directions centering around the party’s political line and personnel changes. Especially, the latest Fourth Planum holds great political and strategic implications for being convened amid convoluted domestic and international circumstances—sequential expulsions of China’s high-ranking senior military officials, sluggish economic growth and the launch of the second Trump administration.
