- 이번 보고서는 위조상품 유통에 따른 우리 기업의 경제적 피해를 분석하기 위해 특허청이 OECD에 의뢰한 연구 결과로, OECD가 한국 기업 위조상품 유통에 따른 경제적 영향을 분석한 첫 사례임
□ 2021년 한국 기업 짝퉁 규모는 세계적으로 약 97억 달러(당시 환율 기준 11조 960억 원)로 분석됨
- 이는 같은 해 전체 수출액의 1.5%로, 품목별로 보면 삼성 스마트폰과 노트북, LG TV 등 전자제품(51%)이 가장 많았음
- 다음으로 섬유 의류(20%), 화장품(15%), 잡화(6%), 장난감 게임류(5%) 순이었음
□ 한국 제품 위조상품을 가장 많이 만드는 국가는 홍콩(69%)이 꼽히며, 중국(17%)이 그 다음임
- 이어 미국, 아랍에미리트, 싱가포르, 영국, 대만 순임
□ OECD는 짝퉁 확산에 따라 한국 기업의 국내외 매출 감소, 제조업 일자리 감소, 정부 세수 손실 등 부정적 영향을 정량적으로 추산하였으며, 매출 손실은 61억 달러로 나타남
- 업종별로는 가전 전자 통신장비가 36억 달러로 손실이 가장 컸고 자동차가 18억 달러로 뒤를 이음
- 일자리 상실분은 1만 3855개로 추정되었으며, 세수 측면에서는 15.7억 달러를 손해본 것으로 추산됨
