- 보고서는 “뉴스 플랫폼의 경우 전통적 플랫폼인 TV와 신문 등 기성 매체 이용률은 꾸준히 감소한 반면 유튜브·인스타그램 등 소셜미디어 이용률은 크게 증가한 추세를 보이고 있다”고 전함
- 또한 “뉴스 이용률이 감소하는 등 언론에 대한 대중의 무관심이 커지는 상황에, 상대적으로 검증되지 않은 정보를 전달하기 쉬운 소셜 미디어 이용률이 크게 늘어난 점이 언론 신뢰도를 낮춘 데 영향을 주었다”고 분석함
