□ 세계무역기구(World Trade Organization, WTO)는 7일 「글로벌 무역 전망 및 통계, 2025년 10월 업데이트 (Global Trade Outlook and Statistics : October 2025)」를 발표하고, 내년 글로벌 상품 무역 성장률 전망치를 0.5%로 전망함
　ㅇ 이는 지난 8월에 내놓은 성장률 전망치인 1.8%보다 크게 낮아진 수치임

□ WTO는 내년에 관세 인상의 영향이 지속되면서 무역 성장세가 둔화할 것으로 예상함
　ㅇ 응고지 오콘조-이웰라 WTO 사무총장은 이날 스위스 제네바 본부에서 열린 기자회견에서 '관세 조처가 올해 후반, 특히 내년으로 미뤄지긴 했지만 무역에 부담을 주고 있다'면서 '내년 전망은 암울하다'고 밝힘　
　ㅇ 다만 WTO는 올해 무역 성장률 전망치는 지난 8월(0.9%)보다 상향된 2.4%로 조정함. 이는 각국이 미국발 관세에 대응을 자제하고 즉각 보복에는 나서지 않았기 때문이라고 WTO는 분석함
　ㅇ 특히 올해 상반기 세계 상품 무역 규모는 작년 같은 기간보다 4.9% 증가함. 이는 관세 발효 전 수출입 증가, 반도체 등 인공지능(AI) 수요 확대 등에 따른 것으로 WTO는 분석함
