□ 아시아개발은행(Asian Development Bank, ADB)은 4월 4일(화), 2023년 아시아 경제전망(Asia Development Outlook, ADO)을 발표함

□ ADB는 이번 전망 발표를 통해 아시아 지역은 중국의 회복과 인도의 견고한 국내 수요를 바탕으로 ‘23년 4.8%의 성장세를 보일 것으로 예상했다. 이는 ‘22.12월 전망치(아시아경제전망 보충)에 비해 +0.2p% 상향조정된 것임. ’24년 성장률은 4.8%로 전망함

□ ADB는 중국의 급격한 리오프닝이 향후 아시아 지역 성장률 상방요인이라고 밝히는 동시에, 고부채·고금리로 인한 금융부문 불안정성, 우크라이나 사태로 인한 상품가격 재급등 및 이로 인한 물가상승, 통화긴축 가능성 등 도전요인이 여전히 남아있다고 지적함. 또한, 아시아 지역 물가상승률은 에너지·식품가격 안정 등 요인으로 인해 ‘23년 4.2%, ’24년 3.3%로 점차 코로나19 이전 수준으로 회복해 갈 것으로 전망

□ ADB는 한국의 ‘23년 성장률에 대해 글로벌 경기 둔화와 불확실성 등으로 인해 ’22.12월 전망치와 동일하게 1.5%일 것으로 예상했으며, ‘24년에는 2.2%로 점차 회복될 것으로 전망함. 한국 물가상승률의 경우 그간의 통화긴축 효과 등 요인으로 인해 ‘23년 3.2%, ’24년 2.0%으로 점차 안정될 것으로 전망함
