□ 미 국무부 대변인은 “일본은 방류 계획에 대해 IAEA와 적극적으로 협조해왔고, 과학에 기반한 투명한 절차를 추진해왔다“며 일본의 방류 계획을 사실상 지지한다는 입장을 밝혔음. 주일 중국대사는 오염수 문제 관련 특별 기자회견에서 “IAEA는 해양 환경과 생물학적 건강에 대한 원자력 오염수의 장기적인 영향을 평가하는 데 적합한 기관이 아니다“라며 “IAEA는 일본 측 해양 방류의 정당성과 합법성을 증명할 수 없으며 일본이 져야 할 도의적 책임과 국제법상 의무를 면제할 수 없다“고 강조함

□ 일본 하야시 외무상은 IAEA의 종합보고서 내용을 근거로 박진 한국 외교부 장관·친강 중국 외교부장과 7월 13~14일 개최 예정인 아세안(ASEAN) 외교장관회의를 계기로 만나 방류 계획을 설명할 예정임
