□ 보고서는 과도한 열 노출에 시달리는 노동자 비율이 아프리카 92.9%, 중동 83.6%, 아시아·태평양 74.7%에 이른다고 설명함
- 이들 지역은 세계 평균(71%)을 넘어서는 비율을 나타냈으며, 유럽과 중앙아시아에서도 과도한 열 노출 노동자가 급격히 늘고 있다고 언급함
□ 국제노동기구는 “고열 부상을 막기 위한 산업안전 조치를 시행하면 전 세계적으로 3천610억 달러(약 500조 원)를 절약할 수 있다”며 “각국은 직장 내 열 스트레스 위험을 평가하고 노동 환경 및 근로자 건강을 점검해야 할 것”이라고 제언함
