□ 미국의 회계감사원(GAO)은 12월 12일(현지시간) 「Artificial Intelligence : Agencies Have Begun Implementation but Need to Complete Key Requirements」라는 제목의 보고서를 발간하고, ”AI가 미 정부 기관 200개 이상 업무에 활용되고 있으며, 앞으로 1천200개 이상 업무에 활용될 수 있는 것으로 조사됐다”고 밝혔음

□ 미 회계감사원 AI 보고서 주요 내용
ㅇ 연방정부 기관 중 AI를 많이 사용하고 있는 기관 1위는 NASA. 현재 390개 프로그램에서 AI를 사용하고 있거나 사용할 계획이라고 밝혔음
ㅇ 정부 기관의 AI 활용 사례 중 69%는 과학 및 내부 관리(internal management)에 집중되어 있음
ㅇ AI의 위험을 최소화하고 의도하지 않은 결과를 피하기 위해 '책임 있는 AI 사용' 관리 필요
ㅇ AI를 일관성 있게 관리하기 위해서는 '기관들이 어떻게 AI를 확보해 사용해야 하는지에 대한 지침' 필요
